Norwalk fire responded to a building fire on 43 Lexington ave. at 10:11pm.
The fire started in the bedroom of a multi-family home and quickly spread to floors above.
There were nine occupants home at the time and all escaped without injury.
However, all of their belongings were destroyed.
The house was gutted and posted unfit for occupancy, displacing all nine occupants.
The Red Cross responded and provided temporary shelter.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
