On Friday, July 29, 2022 at approximately 3:10 PM, the Norwalk Fire Department responded to a Boat fire at Cove Marina. 48 Calf Pasture Beach rd. Two Engine Companies and a Command car responded with 10 Personnel. E3 located an approximately 30' cabin cruiser style recreational watercraft with heavy fire showing from the rear of the vessel. An attack line was stretched and fire was  extinguished and overhauled. E2 laid a 5” supply line from a hydrant on Beach rd. The fire initiated inside of the engine compartment, extending onto the main deck. One male victim had been burned and  EMS handled patient care and transport. PD assisted with de watering from firefighting operations and staff of cove marina hauled the boat from the water. The fire was placed under control 12 minutes after arrival. Fire Inspector Luca Feola remained on scene for the origin and cause investigation.
