Norwalk Fire responded to two structure fires. The first was at a vacant commercial building on 467 West Ave.
The Fire department entered the building that was charged with smoke and extinguished a large amount of debris, possibly set by vagrants.
The fire is still under investigation.
The second fire was at 123 Water St., a six-story apartment complex. The fire started on the sixth floor and was contained to the garbage compactor room. There was smoke damage on the sixth floor and water damage on all floors below the fire room .
Inspectors are still investigating the cause.
There were no injuries reported.
