At 2151 hrs. Last night Norwalk Fire Department Marine Unit MU238 responded to a reported 18 foot boat that capsized with 4 people in the water near Grassy Island. MU238 found the capsized boat in the area of Copps Island with 4 people clinging to the hull of the vessel. All 4 people were wearing life vests. MU238 was able to maneuver close enough to the vessel to remove all 4 people from the water onto MU238. All four Passengers were male and aged 51, 39, 38, 27 years old stated they had been in the water for approximately 1 hour. All 4 men refused medical attention. The USCG arrived and remained on scene. USCG handled salvaging of the vessel . Passengers were brought to Veteran's Park dock and released. E3 / MU238 returned to service at 2319 hrs.
