The Norwalk Fire Department responded to a trash compactor fire, at the Main Avenue Walmart, this morning at 7:59 am. Firefighters had to call the dumpster contractor to the scene, to remove the unit from the building and dump the contents in the parking lot, for extinguishment.
The store was ventilated and monitored before firefighters left the scene, at 10:45am . Fire Inspector Bryan Scully is investigating the cause of the fire and Health Department Inspectors were heading to the scene.
