The Norwalk Fire Department responded to a lawn tractor accident at 11 Crossland Place, Tuesday evening at 6:21 pm. A man in his 60’s was moving some wood logs in a trailer along an embankment in his yard, when the tractor he was riding on tumbled down the hill 20’ pinning the man’s leg under the tractor.
Family and Neighbors heard the man’s call for help and had pulled the man out from under the tractor just prior to Firefighters arriving on scene. Firefighters secured the tractor to a tree and with Norwalk Hospital Paramedics tended to the man’s injured leg and carried him up the hill to the awaiting ambulance.
Firefighters then used a winch from the rescue truck to bring the tractor up to level ground, before leaving the scene.
