Norwalk Fire responded to a reported house fire at # 8 Ridge St. Upon arrival crews were met with heavy fire showing from the second floor apartment. All occupants escaped with no injuries. The fire started in the kitchen and dining area on the second floor. The fire is still under investigation, but appears to be from a discarded cigarette.
This was a three story house with multiple apartments and an attached two story in the rear.
The Fire Dept. responded with 3 engines and 2 ladder companies. The fire was brought under control in approximately 20 min.
