PRESS RELEASE - JANUARY 29, 2012:

The Norwalk Fire Dept. responded to a structure fire in Shoprite Plaza , 360 Connecticut Ave. The business name is Angel Tips, a nail and pedicure salon.

There was smoke showing from the rear of the building upon our arrival. The salon was open with patrons inside when the fire was discovered. All occupants

were already outside upon our arrival. Several other occupancies were also evacuated. The fire was quickly extinguished by FD personnel. A water heater in a separate closet caught fire along with some combustible material around the heater, including the wood door and frame. The smoke travelled along the cockloft and 4 stores had to be ventilated. The fire is under investigation by Inspector Kirk McDonald of the Fire Marshal’s division.
