NORWALK FIREFIGHTERS JOIN FIGHT AGAINST WOMEN'S CANCER
This October marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As part of a nationwide campaign by the International Association of Fire Fighters, Local Affiliates will be participating in the “Care Enough to Wear Pink” campaign, to bring attention to women’s cancer issues.
Beginning Friday, October 1 and throughout the month, members of the Norwalk Professional Fire Fighters Association, Local 830 will do their part by wearing pink work shirts while on duty to help raise awareness and funds for this very important cause.
Proceeds from the sale of the work shirts to the members of Local 830 will be split between a local breast cancer organization and the American Cancer Society.
